I currently have OS 10.2.8 running on my 8600 with a NewerTech G3/300 upgrade. I recently bought a 18 GB drive that I plan to install and use as my start up disk. So, I will be starting with a fresh install of X and I was hoping to get some advice on the best way to do it.

I don't have a 9.1 installation CD, so I will copy my 9.1 system folder over to the new HD. Then, I plan on upgrading to 9.2.2 and then install X over that. Should X be on it's own partition, or does it need to be with 9.2.2? If partitioning is the way to go, what would be the best scheme?

Thanks,

Kevin
