Hello I'm having a heck of a time with this one. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 9500 mac/w sonnet crescendo G3 450 mhz. The Internal scsi bus has a 4 gb drive. The external bus has a 4gb drive, yamaha cdrw, and an astra scanner. I am attempting to install a 16gb (ebay) 80 pin sca drive along with an adapter which will accept the 50 pin connector on the internal scsi bus. The drive will not mount on desktop. It shows up as existing, using FWB Harddisk Tools but the initilize option is greyed out. It also shows up as existing using Intech HardDisk SpeedTools. It will not let me mount or format/initilize. It tells me that the Driver discriptor( not a typo) map is not valid-reformat this drive. Is the drive just bad. Is there something I am missing. Did I get hosed on this drive ?? Do I need to add a terminator at the end of this chain ??
