Further to my problem with start up stalling before the monitor coming on... I inspected the motherboard through a magnifying glass and discovered an IC near the monitor port had 'exploded'. There is another the same beside it and it has "P57AV DS8925M" on it, I'm thinking maybe the "AV" indicates video? I assume replacing a chip on a motherboard is not feasable Can anyone tell me if a PCI video card might bypass this problem? Thanks, Wil Australia
