in a Performa 6300CD chassis?

I recently picked up a PowerMac 5260/100, I installed a 5400/180
logic board in it and it works perfectly.

As is my habit, I proceeded to hang the 5260 logic board on my wall
as a decoration.

I noticed that it appears to be an exact duplicate of the logic board
from a Performa 6300CD.

Now, since the 5400/180 logic board works in the 5260 chassis, and
the 5260 appears to be a Performa 6300CD with a built in monitor,
would this 5400/200 logic board I have here work in the Performa
6300CD I also have?

It would amuse me greatly to be able to do this, not to mention that
it would give a second fairly powerful computer that I could use.
(and it would give me a reason to get suitable monitor, too. The
local Goodwill has JUST the monitor for something like this.)

Well, I know for a fact that a 6300CD logic board will work in a 5200 (I
have one that runs every day as an answering machine & FAX box).

Just plug it in and give it a try! The "rack" in the chassis is the same
on most of these boxes (5200, 6200, 6300, 6400, and maybe even the 6500).

Just finished putting a 6500/275 board in a 5400. The only thing that has to be changed is the exterior panel that the connector show through. It's to tall for the 5400. It takes about ten minutes to do the change. works great.
