Sometimes, through poor coding or poor browser display, web pages are too
wide for a screen let alone a sheet of paper. Is the prob with most web
pages?

In the stylewriter 1200 print box for IE, for example, but not for NS it
gives options: shrink pages to fit, crop wide pages, print wide pages. For
pages that your dad might want to print perhaps he could try IE which might
do the job automatically on his printer (meaning no need to set optimum
size). IE also gives options not to print images, footers, headers which is
useful. NS 4.. is a poor browser for these days. And NS 6 might be a bit
heavy for the set up he has. The Mac browser iCab is terrific in its print
options and is a browser that required little RAM and space as well as being
very good looking (but it has a few limitations, especially in button
interaction with banks and ebay etc)

Quite often, folk just want the text from web pages. Simple selection of it
and dragging to simpletext (or any word processing) page is quick and gives
much better control of fonts and sizes and printing is always surer. Thing
your dad might find handy to do. He can print as big as he wants then.
