hi all, i'm very confused. just got some: Seagate Barracuda ST15150N 4.3gb hard drives.
i can't figure out where the jumpers go. i checked the seagate site & did a search, but i tried a bunch of settings & got nowhere. i'm using a powercenter 132, by the way, with a 210mhz 604e processor. i tried it internally, & it just got weird, freezing on startup, not recognized by scsi. then i put it, and another one afterwards, in an external case, & it showed up on the scsi bus, but when i tried to format them, i quickly got errors (i tried both hard disk toolkit 4.5 & drive setup on os8.6). has anyone used one of these drives successfully? please help! thanks, omar -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
