I have heard from different people that the PC version of the adaptec 2940 can be flashed to Mac, however I have heard that it could not be from other people. Is there any truth to the card being able to be flashed?I have one that has been working great with SCSI III and SCSI II drives including CD-ROM's. I am currently using it in a G4 Sawtooth with a 10k RPM 36GB IBM LVD HD on OS X. I did hear some rumors about data corruption but have yet to experience that and I have been actively using the card for over a year. The data rate is only 20MBs though. It also worked with OS 8, 8.5, 9, and 9.22.
