I have heard from different people that the PC version of the adaptec 2940 can be flashed to Mac, however I have heard that it could not be from other people. Is there any truth to the card being able to be flashed?

I have one that has been working great with SCSI III and SCSI II drives including CD-ROM's. I am currently using it in a G4 Sawtooth with a 10k RPM 36GB IBM LVD HD on OS X. I did hear some rumors about data corruption but have yet to experience that and I have been actively using the card for over a year. The data rate is only 20MBs though. It also worked with OS 8, 8.5, 9, and 9.22.
