>Strange question, but is there an adapter that will allow one to use scsi >laptop hard drives on a desktop Mac?
Sure. These were manufactured a great many years ago by Corprate Systems Center of Sunnyvale, CA. Their retail contact is now called Disk Drive Depot, or IT Depot, or some such name. Both are in Area Code 408, and DDD's storefont was on Lakeside drive. The device is labeled "2.5" SCSI Adapter", and it is a distinct product from their quite similar "2.5" IDE Adapter", for obvous reasons. Last time I was at DDD they still had one or two of these 2.5 SCSI adapters in stock, although I'm sure none have been made in perhaps ten years. I bought mine about the same time as the PB 140 came out, so that should tell you just about how old these specialzed items are. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
