When you go to file helper preferences in IE, you delete the nomination of
realplayer for files that end .mp3 etc ... Is this right? But do you then
nominate another app to open these files with?

there is also the problem with that Quicktime is assigned to open the same files, and that sometimes leads to that both Quicktime and Realplayer tries to launch the same file = crash.
I have reinstalled the system and explorer several times, another version of realplayer would be great. I use it for listening to the radio so perhaps I better ask the people in charge there to switch to quicktime when streaming, because I had friends with PC that have exactly the same experience - a very bad attempt at worlddomination it seems.
