networking help needed

I went out and bought a G4. So far I've managed to hook both the G4 and 
my 8500 to the internet via my cable modem and a broadband ethernet 
router. What I want to do now is to network the two together. Can this 
be done?

I have: G4, OSX, USB hub with 4 ports (zip, color printer, scanner).  
8500, OS 9, USB port card, and laser printer.

I want to be able to share the printers between both computers. I've 
never networked before so this is all new.
