Hi.

I noticed there are plently of inexpensive generic gigabit ethernet PCI cards on eBay, but none mention Mac support. Is there an extension available for downloading that enables these, like the extension for the generic 10/100 cards with realtek chipsets?

I'm asking because I'd like to install one in a 9600/g4/450 and get it up to speed (networking-wise anyway) with a Digital Audio G4. I'm also wondering whether the 9600 PCI buses have enough bandwidth to take advantage of a gig enet card. The other 5 slots are filled so it would have to share on either.

TIA
