I would have to wholeheartedly agree. Apple's hardware for the MOST part has been high quality and very reliable and easy to repair. I'm typing this message on a 7300 G3 machine that smokes my wife's Compaq presario on many tasks, which is almost 3 years newer. I can't wait until i can get my hands on a used G4. The possibilities are almost endless in terms of expansion on PCI powermacs which I cant really say for proprietary systems from Dell or other "major" companies. They always seem to push consumers towards "planned obsolescence"which apple has VERY slowly phased in with the arrival of OS X. But if youre still trying to do something like edit DV video on a 7 year old computer on ANY OS then you've got your money in the wrong place. Well ive got to go get my son ready for school.
