How fast/slow will OSX run on a 7600 upgraded to 300mhz 1meg backside? If
too slow, what is the minimum speed necessary to see snappy speeds like
those you'd realize in 9.1 on a 7600 at 300mhz?

Waste of time and effort unless you can get to 500MHz or above. But IMHO, it is a waste of time and effort to put x on any of the Macs that you have to use a hack to do it with. Then you have all the incompatibility issue after you get it on. If you have more time and patience than the average person, have fun.
