Just format it under Windows. Beware of Win 95 and 98. They may have trouble seeing the whole drive.
I lost the original e-mail to this question to post it to them directly but I have had difficulties formating an Apple IDE Hard drive to work in a PC. I have had to zero them out first for some reason. I have not had difficulties with seeing the whole drive using a 20 gig with FAT32, FAT 16 yes. I'm not sure how large but at some point you have to use NTFS with win2000 and XP to see the whole drive. I originally avoided NTFS but I now use it.
