Thanks for responding Charlie. I finally got it to print fine from the old 5.1 drivers. It seems that when you print from Word desktop printer spooler and monitor must be active in the extentions folder. I have never used the desktop printer before and always omitted it since I heard it was more trouble than it was worth, but once I made those two extentions active Word printed very efficiently. I still can't get the newest print driver to reconize the printer in the chooser. When I click on it it asks me if I want to check and see if there are any TCP/IP printers. It doesn't seem to matter if I say yes or no, I get nothing. Oh well, as long as it is printing with something. Thanks again, Pam
