B&W G3s and all G4s are, by definition, "new world" Macs. Beige G3s and earlier are, by definition, "old world" Macs. It is possible to build a 9.0 system which works on old-world and new-world machines. Perhaps not *all* new world machines, however. Check out Norton Utilities and carefully observe how they build those systems.
