Does the Yamaha drive need a driver, or will it just work.  Also, what
burning software do you recommend I use with it.  It just so happens that I
have one of these drives lying around here and a 5400.

Get an external Yamaha, like I use and you still have the internal CD to
boot from.... same models are external SCSI.
