On the OS X machine, have you set up an Account (under System Preferences) for your 7500? Then you will see it under the Go > Connect to Server ...

Pogue's "Mac OS X The Missing Manual" has the complete description ... too long to repeat here ...

Good Luck,

Hello all,

First thanks to everyone that responded to my initial inquiry. I connected
the 7500 to the G4 through an Ethernet cable but it didn't work under OS X
Panther. However, I decided that I would reboot the G4 using 9.2 as the
startup, and it worked fine -- I didn't have to change anything in the setup
or anything. I just clicked on Network Browser under 9.2 and there was the
7500.

However, once I restart again under Panther, I don't see the 7500. Does
anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Am I looking in the wrong place (I look
under Network, or under "connect to server".)

Thanks again,
Monique
