Don't agree with that!
1) Most, if not all, ext. Zip-drives (100 and 250), you ONLY can set to
   ID 5 or 6.
2) All the manuals of the flatbedscanners I have to take care of, say:
   Connect, if possible, the scanner directly to Mac.

Sometimes your ext. SCSI-chain will work better using an ext. terminator on
the Zip and forgetting about = setting to Off of the built-in term.switch.
