I had written earlier about not being to get a SupraFaxModem 144LC to work on my PowerMac 9500/200. Does the icon for FreePPP need to show up as when I select "Chooser" from the apple menu? If so, how do I add this icon to the chooser choices?

No

Also, could the fact that this mac (apparently) has an ether net card be causing the modem not to work? If so, would I have to physically remove the card, or is there some way (e.g., changing a setting or moving some extension out of the extensions folder) to stop this interference?

What is TCP/IP set to? AppleTalk? Have you configured FreePPP correctly?
