Hi Listers.
I recently purchased a 7500 for free. The problem: it won't start up . . .
which is why it was free.
As a 6400, 8100 and G3 powerbook owner, I've torn apart several Macs, to the
case, and put them back together, each successfully. This, however, is
nothing I've seen before, and I can't find anything on the internet.
The 7500 powers up, but all that's visible is the mouse against a grey
screen. No menu bars, nothing but the mouse. And even the mouse isn't well
defined; it's as if there's gauze in front it.
All the connections are tight; the CUDA's been reset; zapped the PRAM;
there's ample electrity running to the power via a multimeter reading, and
I've swapped in several hard working drives. Nada.
I'n no techie, just a guy who likes keeping old Macs alive. I'm guessing the
problem either lies with the motherboard, or the processor card. Maybe
static electricty? Or liquid spill? The case is clean, leading me to believe
the former.
Any suggestions would be great.

what about the vram banks ? starting from a floppy ? with no hd connected ??? L --
