Are there any 8500 or other PCI PowerMac users out there that are also Palm users? I am a Tungsten T3 owner with some strange stuff happening affecting my USB HotSync process. What is USB Debug?
My Mac ran fine, USB HotSyncing on que until I installed an app called "FetchIt" that forced "USB Debug" in order to communicate with my T3. Now, I have major problems getting the Mac to see the Palm device. It will only recognize the T3 (in the System Profiler AND in the HotSync Manager) when theT3 is activated to HotSync...BUT only via the USB Debug. To top it all off, I have to push the reset button on the Tungsten after I've done all this in order for the Mac to properly HotSync with my PDA. I've also re-installed the Palm Desktop Software, so I know it's not this. I've tried everything but reinstall the OS, which I'm trying to avoid. Does anyone know if this is a problem with my Mac's compatibility or with the Palm. I'm suspect of the Palm since I was running quite successfully for about a month with no problems. Running OS 9.1 on a PowerMac 8500 with a Sonnet Crescendo G3 500 upgrade and PCI USB card. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
