About [PCI] 9600 and OS9.1, at 18:46pm -0800 on 2/7/04, Steven Zerby stated:

 -> I've ordered 512 megs of ram for my 9600, and am now
 -> looking around for a sytem 9.1 disk for it. The
 -> descriptions of the 9.1 disks for sale from OWC say
 -> that the machine must have a G3 processor upgradein
 -> order to install 9.1. Is that true of all 9.1 install
 -> disks or just the OEM disks? Do I really need to
 -> transplant my G3 card from the 9500 to the 9600 before
 -> I can install 9.1, or is there some kind of
 -> workaround?

 OS 9 Helper will install up to 9.2.2
