Had no trouble until recently when I must have messed something up and the only way the latest 2 CDs I wrote can be read is to load up Adaptec Toast CD Reader extension and read it on my burner (external). Won't load to the plain internal CD Rom reader or to my 7600 (on 9.0.4) nor my 7300 (9.0.4) nor a friends Beige G3? So the point of making a CD is mostly lost. And, this extension is best not left in as it clashes with the CD-ROM ToolKit� Extension I seem to need to run the CD-ROM device on the 7600 (but not the 7300).
There seems therefore to be something written to the CDs just burnt that is not recognisable on average as should be. What? Is some sort of driver written? There WAS some problem that Adaptec said it could not find a driver or something when I was asking it to make a boot disk up and not copy free space... I gave it an Apple CD/DVD Driver when it asked me to find a driver by browsing before proceeding. I seem to recall being able to successfully make boot CDs on my 7300 (which does not use CD-ROM ToolKit� Extension as does my 7600 to which the burner is now attached). Don't know enough of what is written when CDs are burnt (I know the main things, whatever you are copying, like files, software, even whole (valid) system folders. But there seems to be else besides and where is this else besides coming from.
