I have a G4/400 running Jaguar and my wife has a PC running Windows XP. I just bought a cheap LexMark USB printer. Is there a way to install it on my G4 and allow my wife to print to it from her PC? I installed it on the G4 and started printer sharing, but I could not seem to browse to it from XP. Do both machines need to be on the same network switch? Or can one be on the router and the other on the switch inside the same router domain?
I use an HP all-in-one printer at work that's networked to a bunch of PC's thru a hub. I USB plug in and print away.....
