I'm having weird problems with the above PCI network card. On every boot, its MAC address, shown in TCP/IP Control Panel changes each time, and sometimes misses connecting to the network, although I do get a link light on my 10/100 hub.
The MAC address shown in TCP/IP is, for example 6E or FF all the way across. Is LAA (Logical Address Administration) taking over? If so, how do I turn it off. It's quite annoying as it takes usually two or three restarts before I can use the network. Even for Appletalk. Or could it be because I have both TCP and Appletalk going out on the same device. I would use the card I got in it, which I later found to be an Intel 21040 based card and I can't find drivers for that, but found drivers for the RTL 8029. Any ideas people? Oh - it's DHCPing it's IP address from a Netgear DG814 Broadband Switch. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
