Anyways.. speed drop with G4 and MacOS 8.6.

Maybe it just wasn't designed to be run so 
fast... An example of this theory is Windows 95 
with more than 128mb RAM - it has a major fit 
because it can't address so much. And the 4 digit 
processor speeds. It just dies. (Mind you... 
that's perfectly normal behavior for 
Windows.....)

But my point is software *does* have a maximum 
hardware requirement, we just aren't told what it 
is.

animation along those lines:

A PC user walks up to a Mac user that is 
installing Mac OS X Panther.

PC User: What are you doing?
Mac User: Customizing the OS install.
PC User: Oh yeah? How so?
