I sort of answered my own question... dropped a SCSI-2 drive from my B&W into my PM 9500, mozilla load time went from 30s to 10s... (compared to a regular seagate barracuda on the internal SCSI bus). Both drives are 7200 rpm, so i'm tempted to attribute this to the extra throughput from SCSI-2. I'm wondering just how far (and how cost effectively) you can push one of these old PCI powermacs with OS X. Any other thoughts?
