Incredible: You can't compare Apples to Oranges but you can compare Apples to Lemons.

See the new March 2004 issue of Consumer Reports, the mag with a reputation for fair, honest assessment of consumer items.

Using a base of 57,000 Consumer Reports subscribers' survey responses they have compared the top seven Desktop and the top seven Laptop computer makers statistically in terms of the quality of their goods and technical support..

In all categories pertaining to quality of the computers right out of the box both the Apple desktop models and the Apple portables were rated the highest quality with the fewest defects and quality issues.

In all categories pertaining to after-sales service both the Apple desktop models and the Apple portables were rated the highest quality with the best technical support and fewest unresolved problems.

In their summations for both Desktop systems and Portable computers Consumer Reports recommends Apple computers.

You have to read it to believe it !

In their Quick Pick sidebar Consumer Reports lists Apple as first choice for reliability, support and performance.
