Dear Adrian, I have a Mac 6500. I am using the original Mac extended keyboard that came with my computer. My OS is 9.1 Aha. I just checked my "keyboard layout". English was checked, but so was Spanish. I will "uncheck" that & see if it works. Nope, it didn't. Is that what you meant by "keyboard map" ? I had to hit the . key (shifted) to get a question mark. The comma key (shifted) gives me an upside down question mark . I;ve played around with the keys but cannot find one of the most important symbols, the "at" as in domain. Unless I hit reply, or have the person in my address book, I cannot email anyone. Tonight, I am going to give my keyboard a thorough cleaning & air-vacuuming & see if that helps. Thanks. Any suggestions are more than welcome. OK, I just found the answer. In my tool-bar, there is a symbol for the language punctuation you want to use. Although I had changed it to just English in the Control Panels, Spanish was still showing in the tool bar. Changed it to English & I'm back in business. Hooray!!! Nevertheless. I shall still clean my keyboard. LOL @@@@@@@@@@@ Ginny Thanks to those that responded. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
