Has anyone noticed that Macs these days do NOT have any model numbers or names in their front bezel?
What's up with that? You have to refer to a Mac by its speed or screen size, for example: 15" 1.2GHz iBook, 17" 1.4Ghz Ti Book ... etc.. 1.6GHz G5 1.8GHz Dual G5 Mirrored Door G4 (note the name given be users, not the official Mac name)... Can someone comment on this? Why cant Apple put someting like "Power Mac G5 X7740," or something like that on the CD drive door (it's just blank)... like the old names, "Quadra 840av," etc... "Performa 600." If you're not a Mac user, when you look at a G5 you'd have no idea what type of computer it is...Also, you dont know what it's speed is either.... Sheeez... Does Apple not know how to give names to their Macs? Just my 2 secents..
