Ive got a 56kflex global village external modem. Can i plug this into the printer serial port (same din 8 pinout) and still have this work?
im writing from work (a pc) and dont remember if i can set my OS9 and OSX (XPF2.2.4) to read the printer port instead of the serial port for internet connect settings. Maybe it just wont work?
Id thought id ask, since serial is serial and i want to put a MIDI interface on the modem serial port.
Yes you can. At one time there was some difference between the two (slight though, one was faster). But with a PCI PM they are the same.
