Your feeling is right :) The 5500/225 is the same board as a 6500/225 - which is not only faster in Clock Speed terms but also has Twice the VRAM (1024x768, thousands of colors), but also has 2D/3D ATI Graphics Acceleration and will more than likely have a Level2 Cache card. The only advantage of a 6400 I can think of is that you can get an extra 8MB out of the 6400 board, but who's going to notice that? Go for the 5500. You won't regret it :) Phil -- Visit http://www.macintoshcouncil.tk ! -iMac G4 17" 1Ghz, 512MB, 80GB, 10.3.3 -iMac G3 DV 400Mhz, 256MB, 10GB, 9.2.2 -PowerMac 5500/275 AIO, 96MB, 7GB, 9.2.2 -PowerMac 6500/275 DT, 64MB, 2GB, 9.1 -Workgroup Server 8550/180, 128MB, 2GB/4.5GB, 9.1 -Performa 630CD, 36MB, 2GB, 8.1 -LC III+ 33Mhz, 36MB, 80MB, 7.6.1 -PowerBook 140, 4MB, 40MB, 7.5.5 -IIci, 8MB, 160MB, 7.6.1 --- Intel Pentium III 1GHz, 384MB, 80GB, XP AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.53GHz, 256MB, 60GB, XP --- -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
