Does OS X work very well on the PM 7300? I tried the new version of OS X on

"Very well" is relative.

Most of my time is spent in front of a 6100 G3/300Mhz, a 7100/66 or the
7300/200 (which has OS 10.1.5 installed on one drive) so my perception of speed
maybe somewhat distorted.

It took me a couple of attempts to get OS X installed on the 7300/200 and it
was a very slow install.

With that said, the performance of the 7300 with OS X is fine for the purpose
of getting familiar and experimenting with this new OS. And I have no
problems with web browsing or Email. The 7300/OS X keeps up with my sloooow dial up
connection.

On a couple of occasions I have experimented with light graphics work in
classic mode using PhotoShop, PageMaker, Illustrator and Acrobat. The performance
is adequate for light work.

Most of our commercial work is done in OS 9.1 by a graphic artist on a 7500
with an XLR8 G3/466Mhz upgrade and a pair of18GB UltraSCSI LVD drives attached
to an ATTO card -- definitely much faster.
