I finally was able to download the hp Deskjet 5150 software and installed
the package. Still having the same problems as when I was trying to install
from the original CD. There seems to be no driver! These are the files I
have now

-- HP Inkjet Utility v6.1
-- HP Inkjet Utility app
-- HP Printer Selector app
-- Folder "Printer Model Data Files"
-- HP Inkjet Printer icon on desktop with an "X" over the icon

I keep getting an error message when trying to print saying I need the
"Driver" in the Extensions folder, but where is the driver?

I have tried many times to install the hp software, but still there seems to
be no driver, unless it was installed some place where I can't find it???

Check the Extensions Disabled folder. If for whatever reason the extension got installed but then disabled it's possible that subsequent installs updated the disabled version.
