Chill, there's very little spyware out there for the Mac. That's one reason
you can't find any programs to deal with it. But if you must, you can scan
your drive with the freeware MacScan Public Beta Classic. Download from

Are you sure you're not trying to close with a network operation still in
progress, like the program is still trying to access one of your e-mail
addresses? Sometimes takes a while. Bring the progress window up before you
try to quit.
Bounced emails to parties unknown from ME! The last bounce came with buried
.PIF attachments, visible only on "View internet headers"!!!
I can't speak for other email clients but 'Mail' allows you to bounce email back to sender. The usual disclaimers apply.
Do a virus scan, but as others have said here, really this sounds to me like
a virus on someone else's computer spoofing your address. Nothing you can do
about it. Install a filter to delete the bounces and forget about it.
