There is information in the lists FAQ at lowendmacs.com about dealing with the messages, but the situation isn't entirely clear-cut. I simply filter them to the trash and have not been unsubscribed, ever. But I get the individual messages option, not the digest.

The warning is telling you that one of the messages the listserv tried to send bounced (either outright or your server refused the connection). The message will be resent/retried automatically.

Most listservs are set to not send that warning until quite a few bounces during a short period of time occur. That MacLaunch has left the threshold so low is annoying, but not really a problem.

The warning email is a giving you the opportunity to clear the bounce counter sooner than its normal ageing. This is helpful if you've been told by your provider that the problem is fixed and you want to make sure you don't get unsubscribed if they've "lied".

...One of the annoyances here... Some ISPs characterize their inbound email stream, then assign "priorities" to accepting connections from certain servers. This lets them accept quick connections (one-off private emails) faster, and assign longer connections (mailing lists, spammers, etc) to a lower priority. A side-effect: refused connections and bounces.
