I too have recently had a run in with an iMac and the G85.  From the user forums at 
HP, I gather there are a very large amount of unhappy people with this unit.

I would probably suggest that you get rid of it now before you waste too much time 
with it.  There appears to be something fundamentally wrong with the drivers.

And no amount of new versions appear to have fixed the issues either.

Find a Windoze user - it seems to work well for them.

Do you want all the multi-function capability? Or just to print?
