This is one of the things Fluxstringer (and others, myself included) have 
been wondering about.  Did it work at all?  What part didn't work - DVD play, DVD 
burn, CD burn, CD play, all of it?

I retested the DVR-105 in the configuration previously posted, and it worked. 
Must have been a finger-check when I tested it earlier.

A Region 2 (PAL) DVD played fine, too.

I'm pretty sure that I FLASHed the DVR-105 to provide region-free support.

I don't have authoring tools on the test machine, so I only tested the DVD 
player function.
