POP3s is a POP3 server accessed via SSL, on alternate port 995.

In Eudora, set up the POP3 account as normal, then enable SSL for that personality, in
the SSL
settings pane. In that same pane, you can make it access the alternate port (110 vs
995).

hum. The SSL pane may be part of the Esoterics plug-in, so after you install Eudora,
move the
"Esoteric Settings" plug-in into the Eudora Stuff folder, then relaunch Eudora

Thanks Dan for the response.

Having a look in the SSL pane it states "SSL is supported for MacOS Classic and MacOS
10.2 and
later, but not MacOS 10.0 or 10.1."

It seems to state nothing about support for MacOS 9 or is the "supported for MacOS
Classic"
reference understood to include Mac OS 9?
