Hi there, I am sure many people can recommend a POP client for 8.1, however I was hoping to recommend to you an SMTP server.
I used Stalker Mail server for a client of mine to bypass their ISPs crippling 5Meg attachment limits. Check out http://www.stalker.com/SIMS/ Read the notes carefully, and check the website for examples. However, it is pretty easy to use, and it works extremely efficiently. If you are pumping a lot of mail through it, and the PC has a fair amount of RAM, then give it a bit more RAM than the basic amount. I wish you luck in getting your SE on the web. Wonder how the web will look on that small screen these days. Most people design for 800x600 now. Amazing how we take screen real estate for granted. Do you have an Ethernet card for it? Or just localtalk? Gavin -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
