and you go on to give excellent instructions Dan! I add two things:
Drop�Info 2.0  is a free utility for changing such codes (I use an older
simple version of Typeshuffler) And second, an anecdote told before: I
bought some ram that had faults, the seller swore that increasing finder
memory would fix. As suspected by me, it did not! And saw no other
benefits...
