Hi Listers, Hoping someone can help with this, my Performa 5400/180 has developed a problem - when I insert a floppy any floppy, 3 things happen (1)the disk goes into the motion of being read,(2)then I get a message to insert 'untitled disk'? (3)the Mac freezes (mouse pointer still available) needing a re-start. I tried dozens of disks seems it's looking for the elusive 'untitled' Is there a set of keystrokes commands I can use to get the FDD to respond correctly

does the same happen if you start up from a floppydisk ?
or if you start up from a cd ???
you did zapp the pram
and rebuild the desktops, using tech tool is the best when resetting strange fileinstructions.
