Given your situation, pick up a dirt cheap standard Apple 200MHz processor
that these machines later came out with. Like just a few bucks, like maybe
less than $30. Many of us who have G upgraded have these lying about. Stick
as much Ram in too and you will be right. There might be an L2 cache plugged
in too on your board, if not or if it is very small (I think 256K are the
commonest with 7600 that came with the 200MHz cpu chip) again, these should
be available because G upgraders often yank them to avoid clashes with their
new cpu backside caches...
