RTFM. That being said, you don't need two NICs in the Performa. Look at the config wizard for the router and set the Performa's private LAN IP address as the DMZ server. This puts the Performa outside of the firewall. Most home ISP's only issue one public IP and the route already uses you one public IP, so you can's connect the Performa ahead of the firewall and not have it fight over the issued IP address. If you have a connection that has multiple static IP addresses, then you could put a hub/switch in the cable segment between the DSL/Cable modem and the router to connect the Performa on a public IP address.

I have a Performa 6360 which I want to set up on my home network. I
currently have two other computers, a Power Mac G4 and a Powerbook G4,
connected through my D-Link DI-624 Wireless router. The Power Mac is
hardwired to the router and the Powerbook is wireless. Both of these
computers are protected by the router's built-in firewall.

I want to configure the Performa so that it is outside the firewall. This
computer has two ethernet cards already installed.
