I'm trying to get a Zoom USB modem to work with my OS9.1 Mac.

The Mac identifies the modem make and model correctly under System
Profiler connected to USB 0.

However when trying to set the modem under 'Modem Control Panel' the
only options the pull down "Connect Via" menu offer me is Modem Port or
Printer Port, with no USB option.

I've tried doing a fresh install of OS9.1 with the modem connected and
switched on during the installation, but to no avail. I've also
installed the latest Zoom modem scripts.

Any idea? I'm tearing my hair out!

Find out if this modem was meant for Macs at all first. If so look for all modem software or updates on the ZOOM website and install them if available. There may be a separate control panel . And or peices to fit into the OS.

Good Luck
