I'm probably mistaken about this, but I thought (experienced?) that the Firewire support will be there if the firewire card is physically in place when OS 9.1 is installed. If you are adding the FW card after installation, you need to go back and add the extensions. Is this not true?

Hi, people. I'm being brief. Does MacOS 9.1 support FireWire? under a 604e CPU? Thanks.
Yes, but if it's not present when the OS is installed, then the firewire support isn't installed. Custom install just Firewire support from the OS CD. -- Bruce Johnson
