You can use Apple Video Player in your OS already or BTV which has a demo version you can download or buy the full BTVPro version. Apple Video Player works fine, I've used it with a VCR on a LC580.

Can I feed composite video and RCA audio from my cable box into my 7600 video/audio in and watch tv, using the cable box to change channels? If so, what software would I use to view the live input?
Thanks Tom------- Hmmm. Don't think this will work unless you have some sort of decoder board for the TV signals. You could view the video from the "video out" of a TV camera with video player, but not actual TV shows. You would need a board like the old iX-TV PCI card to "watch TV."

As long as you have RCA output jacks like a VCR does it should work. If not just run it through a VCR and use the VCR as a tuner. I've also done it on a 630CD and a G3 DT with the A/V card using Apple Video Player. It may have some decoding software or something but it works using a VCR as a tuner with an antennae.
Don't expect the video to be great though.....
It works the same with my Performa with the Phillips TV tuner built-in. I can hook up a VCR or DVD player to the RCA inputs on the Mac and watch the video in APV.
