Receiving info means that you are downloading the info from the web. I am guessing that you are on dialup. The best way to speed things up is to change to a broadband (DSL or Cable) connection. That way, the info gets to your Mac much faster. Your Mac is faster at displaying pages than a 56k modem can download them, so the modem is the bottleneck.
