That, didn't help...

what about some sound manager extension missing ?

Its there

 or a hardware 
reset, pram - cuda 

while I had the mobo out reseating the cards I pressed
the cuda several times... On this machine you can't
get to the cuda while it iss up & running... Can't
find  instructions for pram zap... 


- reseating of all chips and cards ?

final result of pulling mobo & reseating ram, now it
will not even start up!!!

Could this be the result of the internal batery
finally dieing??

 Maybe I will just trash os9 entirely & go back to
os8.1, THAT worked...
